First film review on the heels of the cinema show special on this U.S indie horror film
Sabbath

Independant U.S production, filmed in dv in a night of the living dead style.
Written by Laura Seli, directed by Wiliam Victor Schotter, who are both is life long fan of this genre and Laura, a big buffy the vampire slayer fan, reason why i mention that.
The film, although low budget,  in tv movie style, and in widescreen,  has quite a unique story line that runs along the course of the last soul left on earth.
This is a zombie film has a demonic tone, filmed in 6 months,  its funny and serious at the same time.
Has David Crawford, the scientest trying to tell everyone about the dangers of the zombie threat in the opening sequence in Dawn of the Dead, is in this film as a mad car salesman, trapped in the house along with two strange brothers who have to fight off their Mother who has turned into a Zombie.
The main male, Bobby Williams playing Mack mirrors the one from Night of the living dead because there is coloured guy in the classic film and it reminded me of that straight away.
Laura slides her tip of the hat to Sarah Michael Gellar, who played Buffy, through the female lead played by Ashley Gallo( not going to reveal how).  For budget film, its very strange in places, and the director Victor schotter and Laura have a flashback sequence in the film if you get lost in the plot, although not a complicated story to follow, but it does help in some ways.
The score in this film, especially at the opening fits very well and original score written for the film,  which for film like this and for the budge was freshing. There is metal music from  U.S band kitchen knife conspiracey, makes up for lack of audio special/ folay effects, which at times is needed but its nice balance and the music does not over power the film.
Overall a good zombie film, and yes there is a gun, but if your looking for loads of bullets all the way through the film, then here is not in every frame but the tention is there and enough zombies to keep you happy
